Yoga dance Therapy is an art based on the application of yoga principles to dance. This method combines a dynamic sequence of asanas (postural patterns and movements) inspired from different world dance traditions like Indian classical dance, ballet and contemporary dance, and approaches them through a practical and theoretical understanding of yoga.

Dance is a wonderful tool which uses the body language to express the emotions and cultures the right brain. The perfection in movements, synchronization to the rhythm and arithmetic involved in keeping to the rhythm are useful in developing the left brain and the expressions involved in communicating the emotions through the delicacy of movements of limbs, face and eyes require the right brain.

Yoga dance Therapy (YDT) is a teaching method based on the systematic application of yoga principles in the art of dance, combining a movement-oriented sequence of asanas and purification techniques. It is inspired by three world dance traditions – Indian classical dance, ballet and contemporary dance – and is an integrative art form based in the philosophy of Ayurveda.

Emotion culture and meditation which are essential components of yoga for total health, stress reduction and professional excellence can be incorporated into the dance training program. While you concentrate and learn the limb and trunk movements for perfect synchronization, observe your own mind. Check if you are getting stressed up (anxious), tired or lazy.

Yoga dance Therapy also includes the use of different therapies and holistic healing techniques from martial arts manipulations, massages, visualizations and choreography. It aims to create body-mind awareness and an understanding of patterns for therapeutic choreography, restoring balance and health through the concept of meditation in action.

The postural patterns are combined with dance to create body-mind awareness and craft movement patterns for therapeutic choreography. Yogadance Therapy is the ultimate body-mind therapy fitness training programme designed for dancers and athletes, and is open to all. The Yogadance Therapy training is particularly interesting for dancers, actors, dance teachers in any style, athletes, physiotherapists, dance therapists, fitness trainers and spa therapists who wish to gain first-hand knowledge about yoga and dance, and body mind therapies.

This basic workshop includes an introduction to the theory on yoga/dance/body-mind therapy, a class in yoga and dance technique (ballet/contemporary) followed by YDT choreographic yogadance sequences. Each session ends with purification practices (pranayama, kapalabhati and/or meditation) and a final deep restorative relaxation.

Thus yoga practices would not only help you to be a better professional but would make you a healthier human being through harmony between the right and left brain.

Meditation is though as overrated nowadays. Most people think that meditation is for Buddhist monks and nuns. But what most people do fail to realize is that all of us meditate, we just tend to use different meditation techniques.

Most of us think that meditation is deeply connected to religion. True enough, Meditation has been in rooted with religion but it is not limited to such. For instance, in Hinduism, they practice meditation techniques that involve proper posture, breathing and chanting mantras. They believe that this meditation can lead them to self realization, empowerment, come closer to Brahman god like discernment and the wisdom to attain peace and resolve worldly matters.

In Buddhism, They practice meditation techniques which also involve posture, breathing and chanting. They also believe that they can resolve worldly matters, attain inner peace, self realization, empowerment and wisdom. The difference is that in Buddhism, They do not believe that they can be closer to their god. In fact, they do not have a god. They believe that their meditation techniques can help them achieve the eight noble truths and finally find themselves in Nirvana. They believe that being close to these eight noble truths is Zen itself.

In Christianity, their meditation techniques are simpler. They believe that meditation is prayer. They detach themselves from the physical world and focus on their god. They believe that this technique would bring them to a personal conversation with Jesus Christ. In doing so, they can get help by solving worldly matters, uplifting their spirits, clearing their thoughts and being guided through every decision. They describe deep reflection and having an epiphany as having a piece of what they can call heaven. Its like heaven on earth.

The Native Americans have the same objectives in mind: self realization, purpose, inner peace, guidance, peace and problem solving. Yet, they have different meditation techniques. Their meditation involves the use of peace pipes, dancing, chanting, pilgrimages and other forms of sacrifices that has been innate in them.

Although it might sound absurd, Atheists also meditate. They might not think that they do not, but they actually do! They practice different meditation techniques but like religion, they arrive at the same results; self realization, solving problems, inner peace, decision making, selflessness and finding a different point of view. Their meditation techniques involve taking a walk, listening to soothing music, sitting on the roof, etc. Therefore, may it be in a religious way or not, we all practice meditation techniques that are almost similar with each others views.

The statute of limitations with respect to medical malpractice cases can be complex and difficult to calculate. Not only do the laws differ from state to state, time limitations change according to type of injury and whether the claim involves a governmental entity. There can also be various exceptions according to the age of the plaintiff.

The statute of limitations is defined as, -an enactment in a common law legal system that sets the maximum time after an event that legal proceedings based on that event may be initiated.- In other words, the time period between when the injury or wrongful death happened until the final date when a medical malpractice attorney can file the suit.

Always obtain a legal consultation with a personal injury attorney who specializes in medical malpractice law as soon as you suspect you may have a case. If the statute of limitations expires before your medical malpractice suit is filed, the case can be dismissed. If this happens you will have no recourse or means to sue for current injuries or even for future problems that may result for the remainder of your life.

The period of time during which a medical malpractice suit must be filed usually begins with the date of harm. This becomes day one. However, sometimes the injury does not become apparent for days, weeks, months or even years after it happened. In such situations, the statute of limitations could begin running the day the injury was discovered.

For medical malpractice lawsuits brought against health care providers in California, the statute of limitations is filed within three years after the date of the injury, or -one year after the plaintiff discovers, or should have discovered, the injury, whichever occurs first.-

There are exceptions to this rule, the first regarding claims based on a foreign object left inside the injured person’s body (such as surgical scissors or gauze) In these cases the statute of limitations day one begins when the person discovers, or should have discovered, the foreign object. Another exception addresses cases involving minor children under the age of six. For a minor under six, the case must be filed within three years of the date of injury or before the child’s eighth birthday, whichever is the longer amount of time.

Are you running a dental clinic yourself? Do you want to provide a healthy, happy and stress-free environment for your patients? So, making the waiting room as comfortable as possible is a good way. The more at ease they feel in the environment, the more likely they are to come back to the office. Here are some decoration ideas for your waiting room that may leave a deep impression to the patients. – Paint walls with a neutral color: a proper color of the wall can help patients remain calm. Colors like white and light blue are recommended. – Put things that help distract nervous: many people feel afraid and tense when going to a dental clinic. Hanging dentistry-inspired artwork on the wall, adding toys that children and adults can enjoy, placing magazines on counters, setting a fish tank in waiting room are all ways to reduce stress. – Keep the air fresh with plants: putting out green or aromatic plants can not only help make the air fresh, but also add life and color to the waiting room.

Besides the tips above, are there any other unique ways that can make the clinic waiting room more attractive and functional? Yes, placing a flat-screen television and a DVD player to play interesting programs can be a good idea. By doing so, patients can view programs freely. Also, you can make DVDs with special purpose for exhibiting. Here is a list of things you can show on TV through the DVD player: – Provide some common advices to help patients protect their teeth. Like brush correctly, eat teeth damaging foods sparingly, and don’t clinch or grind teeth. – Explain the whole treatment process clearly in case someone are not familiar with what to prepare in the waiting room. – List how you can provide the dental treatment service, and your contact information. – Share what new smiles said about your clinic, this can build good reputation for your clinic.

When making such DVDs, you may think it is a hard job. But if you have picked up a right tool, you can also do it easily even if you are a newbie to DVD making. Yes, all you need is PowerPoint and a PowerPoint to DVD converter. PowerPoint is powerful enough to create all kinds of stunning presentations due to the animation and multimedia abilities of it. After you finish creating the DVD content with PowerPoint, convert the PowerPoint to DVD with Wondershare PPT2DVD, and then you can play the presentations on TV through DVD player.

The waiting room of a dental clinic can be a place only for waiting, but also a place for communication and to promote your business. It all depends on how you make use of it. Just make the most out of the waiting room with your talent.

A good example of the burdensome regulations applies directly to nurse management jobs. There is a provision in the law requiring medical facilities to allow breaks for employees who are also nursing mothers, in order to allow them time to express milk. For a nurse manager this presents a whole new set of problems.

For instance, the law states breaks must be “reasonable” in terms of length. But who decides what “reasonable” is? If one nursing mother can express her milk in 15 minutes while another takes 30, there will be questions about fairness and equal time. Then there’s the question of workers who have babies brought to the workplace to nurse rather than expressing milk and putting it in the refrigerator.

Just this one little regulation is already causing a lot of headaches for nurse managers. It provides further evidence that the health care overhaul is not all it’s cracked up to be.

Nurse Management Jobs Still Worthwhile

Despite the changes in the healthcare regulations, don’t be discouraged if you want to get into the healthcare field. Nurse management jobs are still very attractive for a variety of reasons. They offer excellent pay, a good working environment, and room for professional advancement.

Furthermore, working as a nurse manager brings with it a measure of personal satisfaction by being able to help make the lives of patients better. By your willingness to put your best foot forward your nursing staff will be encouraged to do the same and your patients will benefit.

You and Your Staff

To excel as a nurse manager requires a way of thinking that’s slightly different from what you did as an active floor nurse. In other words, before moving into management your primary focus was your patients. As a nurse manager you’re still focused on patient care, but you’re more focused on your staff as the vehicle to provide that care.

Nurse management jobs are therefore more about encouraging the success of your staff. When you’re nurses are doing well, so will your patients. When your nurses are not performing up to standards patient care will suffer.

Nurse Managers also have the added responsibility of representing their staff before upper management and other members of the healthcare team. This requires a certain amount advocacy which some nurse managers find difficult. Nonetheless, it’s part of building a solid team.

In the United States there is currently a significant shortage of nurses and nurse managers. There are nurse management jobs available in big cities, small towns, and through temporary staffing agencies. If you’re qualified and want to work, it’s out there for the taking.

It seems oxymoronic that there is such a thing as fake vitamins. We take for granted that because it is a vitamin supplement, it has to be good for us. The fact is, there is such a thing as fake vitamins and it probably is in a store near you!

The market is flooded with many different variations of vitamin supplements to make your head spin. The way most people choose a vitamin is either, by asking their pharmacist, or picking one out that they think is what their bodies need. Unfortunately, all vitamins supplements are not created equal, especially synthetic vitamins.

If this were an open hall, we would see the real vitamins taking one giant step back and leaving the imposters exposed. The only health benefit synthetic vitamins have, is on the pockets of the manufacturers and distributors and marketers. Synthetic vitamins take a long time for your body to absorb it, if at all, it is bad for your kidneys, immune system and because it is “chemically made or synthesized” it has the potential for toxicity in the body.

We are conditioned to always read the label, but little good it does when we do not know what to look for. The next time you read the bottle label, search for the ingredient cyanocobalamin that is sometimes contained in B-12. This ingredient is found in nearly all multi-vitamins and ranks as one of the worst things to put in a vitamin supplement. Created in a laboratory, cyanocobalamin, is so frequently used in vitamins because it is the cheapest and easiest to produce. There is no nutritional benefit by using this synthetic vitamin, as it runs through the body without being absorbed.

The recommended vitamin to use would contain the ingredient in the B-12 vitamin, called methylcobalamin. This biologically active ingredient is agreeable to the body as it is almost immediately absorbed. Visit your local herbal shop to get good quality natural vitamins, which sells vitamin supplements in glass bottles, while most synthetic (if not all) vitamins are sold in plastic bottles. If you see “USP” on the bottle then it is a synthetic vitamin.

Only two vitamins were highlighted, which tells us as consumers how unwittingly we have been harming our bodies and throwing good money down the drain. Our health is our wealth, as well as our responsibility, to take care for as long as we live.

There are a growing number of beverages which advertise themselves as healthy drinks. Looking at some of the ingredients included in these beverages most people will find quite a shock. While there is no arguing the ingredients are incredibly healthy, they simply aren’t items typically associated with beverages.

One such ingredient found in healthy drinks is kudzu. Kudzu is a plant that has traditionally been used in Chinese medicine to treat a variety of issues. It has shown to include a number of useful isoflavones which provide anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It is also been shown to be beneficial in treating migraine and cluster headaches. This particular item is most well-known as a food rather than a healthy drink ingredient because the roots contain a healthy starch and the flowers are often used to make jellies.

A less shocking ingredient found in healthy drinks as honey. Honey has long been known to have a variety of nutritional and medicinal qualities. From a nutritional standpoint, honey contains invert sugar which is excellent at providing instant energy while also acting as a useful food supplement. From a medicinal standpoint, honey has been tied to helping heal wounds, controlling allergies, and including powerful antioxidants that can help kill drug resistant biofilms.

Black garlic is another ingredient commonly found in healthy drinks. While it is not as well-known as the more popular white garlic, it has seen an increase in popularity over the past few years. Garlic becomes Black garlic following a month-long process of fermentation under strictly controlled heat and humidity. There are a variety of potential health benefits that it offers. One such benefit is high levels of S-allylcysteine. While it is found in white garlic, it appears in much higher concentrations in Black garlic. Black garlic also offers antimicrobial and antibiotic properties via its active ingredient allicin.

Ginger has also become more popular in healthy drinks. It not only helps manage the appetite, but also enhances the body’s ability to absorb essential nutrients. Some circles believe that Ginger has the ability to clear micro circulatory channels of the body which is why it is often used to help clear up sinuses. Ginger also has anti-inflammatory properties which can help relieve joint pain.

The final surprising ingredient found in healthy drinks is jujube. Jujube is a unique fruit because there are at least 400 different varieties and each has a distinctive characteristics. For example, some are best to eat fresh while others should be dried. Jujubes are not added to healthy drinks because they have a particularly high level of any particular nutrient, rather they contain a wide variety of different nutrients. Medical studies have shown that it can help lower blood pressure, treat anemia, and potentially inhibit the growth of tumor cells.

First, I’m seriously wired by nature and am not someone who can stop thinking. I have learned to meditate very effectively once I learned some facts about real meditation.

Problem one is thinking that you can’t meditate, or it’s not real meditation if you have thoughts going through your head. You do NOT have to stop thinking, or empty your mind of thoughts…that will happen ON ITS OWN if you meditate correctly.

If you’re closed-minded, your ability to reach deep states of meditation, or spiritual connectedness, is restricted. This is the way we are designed…scientifically. Meditation at its core, is meant to slow down brain waves, whether you know it or not. It’s just like you may know how to drive a car, but have no clue what’s going on mechanically. People will meditate for relaxation, healing, spiritual connection, communication, access to the infinite field of consciousness…whatever your reason, it is all only attainable directly as a result of slowing your brain waves to a certain frequency range.

The four major brainwave states/frequencies are: Beta, Alpha, Theta, and Delta in that order. More info is available on the specific states via the link in my bio. Meditation is mainly attempting to bring the brain to the Theta and Delta states. This is where everything happens: the connection, communication, healing, access to the quantum field of consciousness. So the point is to slow your brain waves.

You do need time, especially if you don’t use tools to help you. It’s just like trying to relax, except much deeper. You need time to relax…and you can also use music or other tools to help you. Meditation music was what I found to be the most helpful for me. Real meditation music…like with binaural beats. The music is specially made to influence your brain to slow down…to chill out.

Watch on things that raise the rate of your brain waves, like certain colors. Red, for example is a very high rate of vibration. Deep blue is among the slowest. I recommend keeping your eyes shut the whole time.

Most of the meditation music that I bought, was effective, but very long. I decided to make my own music which is made to bring the brain waves from Beta to low Alpha in less than 6 minutes, and then another music track that goes from low Alpha to low Theta in less than 6 minutes again.

The Beta to low Alpha meditation music track is available for free. The Theta music track is available to buy. There is a music link in my bio.
